Elmo and Abby Birthday Sign

This is a super easy birthday sign to make.  Open the template below, customize with your child's name, print, and cut.  Use a hole punch to make two holes toward the top of each circle and thread with ribbon.  I again used my circle cutter from Creative Memories, but a sharp pair of scissors works as well.

Sesame Street Birthday Sign: printable

In addition to the Sesame Street favor tags I made Sesame Street Birthday Signs with Claire's name.  It is an MS Word Document that can be easily customized with your child's name and age.

Sesame Street favor tags: printable

For the party favors I created a template based on the Sesame Street sign.  It is a MS Word document and it can be easily customized, you can shorten and lengthen the text boxes based on the child's name.  I chose to personalize the tags with each child's name, but also included a 'Thank You' template as well.

On each of the favor bags I put Elmo (for the boys) or Abby (for the girls).  I used my circle cutter from Creative Memories to cut the circles but a sharp pair of scissors works as well.

Elmo and Abby Food Signs

To make the food signs I again used the stickers purchased from ebay {Elmo and Abby}.  I printed out the food labels on white paper, cut them to size, and then secured them to pink place cards from paper-source.  I topped each one with an Abby or Elmo sticker that was mounted to red or purple cardstock.

For the silverware holders I wrapped ribbon around glass containers and added the Elmo and Abby stickers.

Elmo and Abby Danglers

While looking for hanging decorations for Claire's birthday party, I wasn't thrilled with the options available at the major party chain, so of course I made my own.

Download the template:

You will need to print two copies for each dangler.  I use the Creative Memories circle pattern and mat/blades to cut the circles.  While it is a nice tool, it is definitely not necessary, a sharp pair of scissors should do the trick.  Once you cut the circles, take a piece of monofilament (or ribbon) and lay it in the middle of circle and use the double sided tape to secure it.  Place more pieces of tape around the circle and then place the other circle on top.  Cut the monofilament to the desired length and hang.

Elmo and Abby Water Bottles

So after seeing custom water bottle labels on countless blogs, I gave in and decided to give them a try.  I went for a very 'low tech' version.  I cut paper in 1.5" strips using my paper cutter.  Removed the old label, used double sided tape to secure it around the bottle, and put an elmo or abby sticker on each bottle - easy peasy.  I purchased the stickers from ebay {Elmo and Abby}.  Highly recommend the stickers, they are cheap and had many uses for her party.

Elmo and Abby Circle Garland

This garland is easy to make and has a big impact when hung in a grouping.  This version uses monofilament, so no sewing machine required.  I used red, pink, purple and aqua to represent the colors of Elmo and Abby.

You will need:
Paper in your choice of colors (I used regular text weight paper, cardstock works as well)
Circle punch (or any shape cutter you prefer, I used a 2.5" and 1.5" inch circle punch)
Illuison Cord/Monofilament
Scissors
Double sided tape

Cut the monofilament to the desired length. Tape the monofilament to a table or floor at both ends.  Place one circle undernearth the monofilament, secure with double sided tape (2-3 pieces per circle will do the trick).  Place the same color circle on top and press down to stick.  I left space in between the circles or you could place them right next to one another if you wished.  This garland can be hung from the ceiling, around windows/doors, or across tables.
